A little bit about me…
I was born and raised in California. Our family vacations were roadtrips, so travelling during my childhood was limited to the West Coast of the United States and Canada — California, Washington, Oregon, and British Columbia. In high school I travelled to Hawaii and loved experiencing the different culture and food of the area. I was intrigued by all the experiences that travel could offer me.
After college I took as a job as an Auditor for the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) — and then as a Consultant to local governments receiving FEMA grants. My travels took me all across the United States, the Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico — wherever a natural disaster occurred!
I met my husband in 2001 and we often talked about our mutual love of travel and our desire to travel as a family. In 2006 we added a daughter to our family and the 3 of us have travelled extensively since 2015.
We love to explore cultures through their food by visiting markets and taking cooking classes. I’ll share our experiences with you so you can live vicariously or learn from our travels as you plan your own journey!
