Adelaide – Brighton Sunday Market

The Brighton Sunday Market is a combination fresh market and flea market. The market is on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month from 7:30 to 12:00 in the rear car park and gymnasium of the Brighton Secondary School. It was a beautiful winter day and the market was an easy 30 minute walk from my Airbnb.

The flea market or “bric a brac” section of the market was primarily along the driveway leading to the rear parking lot. There were also vendors in the gymnasium.

Just outside the gymnasium there was a small stage with live music.

There was seating near the stage and some ready made food like mini donuts and coffee!

There were produce vendors, baked goods, and even some homemade Turkish Delight. I imagine the market is much bigger during the summer months.

This was a nice market for locals – prices were good and selection was varied. I may walk to this market again, but there are other markets in Adelaide that I am looking forward to visiting.
